Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus ) essential oil benefits

Lemongrass is the perfect stimulant essential oil to fight exhaustion and burnout. Is used in aches and pains preparations especially post arduous exercise because it helps to drain lactic acid and to boost circulation. Great for oily or acne-prone skin. The fresh scent of Lemongrass oil is uplifting, energizing, and restorative. Very suitable for overtired muscle, sports injuries sprains, and general muscle pain, it is also very used as an insect repellent and as a deodorant. It is a very good oil for concentration, and it stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which assists recovery from illness. It is also quite useful to promote healthy digestion. Lemongrass is used in blends anti-cellulite as it helps to restore the skin tone by tightening the elastin of the epidermis. Thanks to its astringent properties, it is used in skincare to control acne and oily skin. Lemongrass flexuous is more indicated for blends for muscle-related injuries and has more a balsamic aroma, while Lemongrass citratus has a zestier scent and is widely used in perfumery and skincare.

Always use Lemongrass after skin patch test and in low dilutions as it can be a skin irritant.
