How to Use
How do you use Guasha stone on your face?
Before you start - Inspect your facial tool or stone for damage. Remember: cracks and chips can micro tear your skin. Apply a rich moisturiser or facial oil to your face to prevent damage to your skin from friction, help the stone glide over your skin effortlessly and optimize the penetration of the skincare you have applied before the massage. Do one side of your face at a time. Scraping is a slow, gentle pressure; you can increase the pressure, but it should never be painful. If it is, please stop. You want to move the stone in the direction of the muscles. Avoid using it over areas of active infections, skin lesions, and rashes.
1) Firming the Décolletage and Neck
Start at the outer corner of the jaw near the earlobe, sweep down the neck just above the collarbone. Repeat this firming technique three times on each side. With the inward curved side, sweep the gua sha up the side of the neck from the collarbone to the jawline. Apply short, sharp pressing motions at the jawline. Repeat on the opposite side
2) Lymphatic Drainage
Initiate at the chin, sweeping the guasha tool along the jawline to the ear. Continue behind the earlobe and down the neck. Perform this sequence three to five times.
3) Jaws, Chin and Cheeks
Position the guasha on its side and use the 'top of the love heart' for sweeping motions across the jawline. Begin from the middle of the chin and move upwards toward the ear. Massage the cheekbones with the longest side of the guasha. Start above the mouth and beside the nose, dragging the tool upwards along the contours of the cheekbones towards the hairline with medium pressure. Repeat on the opposite side.
4) Forehead
With the longest side of the guasha, start in the middle of the forehead, moving outward toward the temples, covering the entire forehead to the hairline. Repeat as desired.
5) Contouring and Depuffing the Nose
Gently scrape the guasha tool up the nose bridge and down the sides, towards the cheek. Repeat this process three to five times.
6) For Under-Eye Puffiness
Nourish the eye area with oil or a rich moisturiser, then gently glide the guasha tool from under the eye to the temple, extending to the hairline. Repeat this sequence three to five times for each eye, followed by working the tool from the inner brow bone to the temple.
7) For Brow Lifting
Position the smaller curve of the 'love heart' under the eyebrow and the longer curve above it. Use sweeping motions following the eye's shape out towards the hairline with gentle pressure.
